Job summary

EMBS Engineering is recruiting an NDT Technician (Level 2 DPI) for its Alcester site on a permanent, days-based role. You will perform dye penetrant inspections on engine assemblies, read drawings and job cards, and raise non-conformances when required. A strong QA focus and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Achievement of Level 2 Diploma in DPI NDT and maintain it
• 1-2 years in Aerospace or Manufacturing
• Adherence to quality and manufacturing standards

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to carry out DPI & visual inspections
• Ensure equipment is suitable and maintained to standard
• Create and authorise DPI reports
• Interpret and evaluate test results to meet standards
• Inspect components to client specifications

• Set up working environment per drawings, data cards, and inspection plans
• Raise non-conformance and implement corrective actions

Overview

EMBS Talent is working in partnership with a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision, detailed components across a range of machining processes, supplying primarily into the aerospace sector.

As part of continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Quality Technician on a permanent basis, joining a well-established NDT function at their Alcester site.

Responsibilities

As an NDT Technician, you will be qualified at Level 2 and responsible for Dye Penetrant Inspection to inspect engine assembly components.

• Follow procedures to carry out DPI & visual inspections
• Ensure that all equipment used is suitable for use and maintained to the correct standard
• Create and authorise reports in relation to DPI
• Make sure that standards are achieved by interpreting and evaluating the test results
• Carry out inspections to make sure the components adhere to the client’s specification
• Have the ability to read job cards and understand the requirements
• Be able to set up your working environment in accordance with the requirements on the Engineering drawings, Data cards and Inspection Plans etc.
• Raise non-conformance issues in accordance to the policy and carry out the necessary action to prevent recurrences

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Achievement of Level 2 Diploma in DPI NDT and continue to maintain this
• 1-2 years within an Aerospace or Manufacturing background
• The importance of following quality & manufacturing standards to achieve the business requirements
