Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial in Alcester seeks an NDT Technician to support high-precision metal component manufacturing for aerospace, defence and power sectors. You will perform DPI and visual inspections, maintain NDT equipment and generate accurate test reports.

You will read engineering drawings, interpret standards, and collaborate with the team to ensure timely inspections and conformance to customer specifications. Mon-Thu 7:30–16:30; Fri 7:30–12:30.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an NDT capacity.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiar with quality and manufacturing standards and targets.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform DPI and visual inspections per procedures.
• Maintain NDT equipment and conduct control checks.
• Interpret test results and generate work instructions.

Job description

The company are a manufacturer in Alcester that manufactures high-precision fabricated and machined metal components, for the aerospace, defence, and power generation industries.

They are seeking to recruit an NDT Technician for their operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection operations (DPI & Visual) in accordance to procedures
• Ensure NDT equipment is maintained and suitable for the operation
• Conduct control checks and tests in accordance to procedures
• Interpretation and evaluation of test results against defined acceptance standards
• Generate work instructions
• Manage workflow to meet production requirements
• Prepare and authorise product test reports
• Conduct test and inspections to ensure product is conforming to customer product specifications and definitions
• Ensure parts are processed in accordance with business work priorities on as timely basis

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous working experience working in an NDT Technical capacity
• Able to read and interpret engineering and product drawings
• Must be familiar with quality and manufacturing standards and maintain and achieve specified targets and objectives in line with business requirements
• Strong communication skills and an attention to detail
• Strong team player

The role is Days - Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm then Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm

The role is based in Alcester so is commutable from Redditch, Studley, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon, Worcester.
