Job summary

Whitgift School in South Croydon invites an experienced individual to lead the CCF Navy Section on a part-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities include day-to-day management, coordinating training days with the calendar, inspiring pupils and staff, maintaining discipline, and promoting outdoor education.

Applicants with Regular or Reserve Military experience or CCF background are welcomed; safeguarding and DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Regular or Reserve Military Experience (preferably as an Officer) or previous experience within the CCF.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day to day running of the CCF Navy Section.
• Ensure that CCF Navy training days are coordinated with other co-curricular activities and entered into the school calendar.
• Inspire and motivate the pupils and staff in the Navy Section.
• Ensure the CCF is a disciplined organisation within the School, which enables students to exercise responsibility and leadership.
• Take an active role in promoting the benefits of outdoor education to students in the Navy Section.
