Job summary

Aeropeople Limited is seeking an Electrician to join one of the world s leading defence and aerospace companies in Glasgow. The role is on-site full-time with a varied shift pattern, starting on day shift and flexible to discuss alternatives with the manager.

You will install electrical systems on state-of-the-art naval vessels, handle cables, junction boxes, transformers and consoles, and work with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• Modern Apprenticeship SVQ 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in marine or major industrial installations.
• Familiar with PUWER, COSHH, and risk assessments.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Understanding tag-out and proving dead procedures.
• Experience with cable installation and earth termination.

Responsibilities

• Installation of cables and electrical systems on vessels (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches).
• Cable termination and installation of electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to meet timelines and quality.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
