Aeropeople Limited is seeking an Electrician to join one of the world s leading defence and aerospace companies in Glasgow. The role is on-site full-time with a varied shift pattern, starting on day shift and flexible to discuss alternatives with the manager.
You will install electrical systems on state-of-the-art naval vessels, handle cables, junction boxes, transformers and consoles, and work with shipbuilding teams to ensure timely, compliant installations.

We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as an Electrician. The role will be based in Glasgow and will require the successful candidate to be on site full time working a varied shift pattern (please see details below).

The company is at the forefront of designing and building world-leading naval ships. Their work is vital to supporting the security and defence of nations around the globe and they pride themselves on delivering high-quality and innovative solutions. As part of a growing team, they are looking for a talented and experienced Electrician to join them in delivering eight Type 26 frigates to the Royal Navy.
As an Electrician, you will play a key role in the installation of electrical systems on their state-of-the-art naval vessels. Their skilled electrical teams work on a variety of scope from advanced military communication systems and weapons systems to small power and lighting systems.
There are 3 shifts available (although the successful candidate would start on a day shift and would then discuss with their manager if they would prefer a different shift) and the hours of work within each shift are highlighted below. Please note that both the night shift and the weekend shift will include a 33% shift allowance on top of the basic rate.

All successful candidates will be required to attend a Trade test which will be held in Glasgow. You will also be required to submit your trade certificates after an initial phone call with our recruiter.
- Modern Apprenticeship SVQ 3 or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a marine installation or major industrial installation environment
- Understanding all assessments, Risk, PUWER & COSHH
- Understanding of relevant trade drawings
- Knowledge of tag out process and the correct proving dead procedure
- Mounting of electrical equipment & components
- Earthing of equipment and termination of cables to workmanship standards
