Leonardo UK is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to design, configure, and support secure networks for naval platforms. The role blends home and on-site work, using COTS/MOTS IP networking and virtual environments, to deliver resilient architectures across the product lifecycle.

You will lead network design activities, develop interfaces between communication systems and mission systems, and provide governance to ensure designs are fit-for-purpose and compliant in challenging naval

Qualifikationen

• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Experience configuring/supporting enterprise network devices.
• Ability to work independently on defined work packages.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Technical leadership within system scope.

Aufgaben

• Architect and govern naval communication networks and implementations.
• Lead on network design: high/low level designs, routing, switching, segmentation.
• Develop network architectures and interfaces between subsystems.
• Support design and test artefacts across the lifecycle.
• Define installation and go-live guidance for networks.
• Collaborate with customers through verification and validation stages.
• Ensure systems meet requirements and are secure.
