Job summary

Babcock International Group invites applications for its Quantity Surveying Graduate Programme based in Devonport, Plymouth. This two-year scheme is structured into four six-month placements across project teams, offering exposure to major civil construction work and a solid foundation in QS practice.

You will gain experience across the full commercial lifecycle, supported by formal mentoring, masterclasses, and a path toward RICS chartership, with potential progression to a permanent role in

Qualifications

• Achieved or on track to achieve an accredited RICS degree in Quantity Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management or Construction Management (minimum 2:2) or a Masters in Quantity Surveying.
• Must be able to achieve BPSS and Security Check clearance.
• For this programme, there is a UK national eligibility requirement (sole UK national).

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of major infrastructure projects at HM Naval Base Devonport.
• Assist with quotations, change management, and applications for payment.
• Contribute to subcontract tendering and management, working with MOD and supply chain.
• Develop technical and professional skills through the programme and with experienced commercial teams.

Education

RICS accredited degree in Quantity Surveying/Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management/Construction Management (min 2:2) or MSc Quantity Surveying
