Job summary

QinetiQ Training & Simulation Ltd seeks a CIS specialist to deliver the MCAST Operational Communications Information System (MOpCIS) support at Portsmouth Technology Park and other UK sites. You will work with a delivery team to maintain, deploy and troubleshoot the MOpCIS environment for Maritime Battlestaff training exercises.

Based at PTP with occasional travel to other sites, the role requires naval experience and a proven track record in communications and information systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with OpCIS or OpNET systems within a military environment.
• Knowledge of NATO CIS and planning apps.
• Experience in Infrastructure Engineering.
• Familiar with monitoring tools such as Splunk or PRTG.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain the MOpCIS environment along with hosted NATO applications used during exercises.
• Attend and support project meetings, working groups and site reconnaissance; ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer.
