Job summary
QinetiQ in Portsmouth is seeking a DevOps Engineer to deliver and deploy software supporting Royal Navy Combat Systems under NCSISS. You will develop, manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and maintain secure containerised environments as part of a collaborative team.
You will work with software and systems engineers, defence customers and key stakeholders to resolve deployment issues and drive automation for operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with SC clearance
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
- Experience building, maintaining and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience and SC clearance eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Managing and configuring CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploying and supporting containerised applications within secure environments.
- Investigating and resolving deployment and infrastructure issues.
- Developing automation solutions to improve delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with QinetiQ, BAE Systems and MOD stakeholders across the NCSISS programme.
- Producing technical documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
