Babcock International Group is offering a Naval Architecture Graduate Programme in Plymouth. The two-year programme provides placements across hydrodynamics, structures, design, stability and safety, with exposure to submarines and surface ships in a MOD-collaborative environment.

You begin with a structured training path and mentorship, aiming for Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status. The programme runs from September 2027 and starts at a minimum salary of £35,000, with placements at HM

Qualifications

• Required: degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, Marine Engineering, Marine Technology, Ship Building, Offshore Engineering, Composites, Aerospace, or Ocean Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Work on a range of naval architecture tasks across floating vessels and structures.
• Analyze mooring arrangements for ships and assess stability requirements for submarine surfacing etc.
• Support design and analysis across hull form, stability, propulsion and human factors.
