Job summary

Ford Primary School's SEND Teaching Assistant post sits in its Targeted Provision, A Village of Creativity, with morning and afternoon roles centered on nature-based group sessions, gardening and outdoor exploration.

You will support mainstream teachers, assist creative activities, build relationships with pupils and families, and champion permaculture and holistic education as you help design the Village of Creativity with the community and leadership.

Qualifications

• TA experience or interest in developing into the role.
• Ideally in arts, permaculture or outdoor learning (e.g., Forest School).
• Equivalen t experience and qualifications accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead group sessions on nature-based learning, gardening and outdoor exploration.
• Support mainstream classes alongside teachers and TAs where relevant.
• Assist creative activities such as art, music and local service projects.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider community.
• Champion permaculture and holistic education principles.
• Help design and set up the Village of Creativity curriculum with the community and leadership.
