Are you a creative, energetic and outdoorsy person who loves helping children learn, grow and discover the world around them?
We’re looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the LE14 area, where learning goes beyond the classroom and the outdoors plays a huge part in everyday life.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, thinking outside the box and helping children develop confidence, independence and new skills in a unique, nature-focused environment.
This isn't your typical classroom-based TA role! The school embraces outdoor learning, giving pupils opportunities to explore, learn and develop through nature, practical activities and hands-on experiences.
You could be supporting pupils with activities such as exploring woodland areas, nature-based learning, creative outdoor projects and practical tasks that encourage teamwork, communication and independence.
Someone creative, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
A genuine love of the outdoors and an interest in nature-based learning.
Someone patient, nurturing and adaptable, who can build positive relationships with pupils.
A positive, hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved in outdoor activities in all kinds of weather.
Someone who can think creatively to engage pupils with different learning needs.
Previous SEN experience is desirable, but the right attitude and personality are just as important.
Experience with forest school activities, outdoor education, SEMH or ASD would be a bonus!
A unique specialist school environment where outdoor learning is at the heart of the approach.
The chance to make a meaningful difference to children who benefit from a more practical, hands-on learning experience.
An opportunity to develop your skills and experience within SEN education.
A rewarding role where no two days are quite the same.
