Job Description:

What you’ll do:
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the Natural Resources Middle Office team based in London.
  • Handle client contacts and issues related to Letters of Credit, Cash against documents, and other Trade Services products, with proactive follow-up with Operations, Sales, and Product Management teams.
  • Understand how security is taken over transactional collateral.
  • Oversee new client onboarding and management, working with Implementations, Sales, Product, and Technical Partners.
  • Maintain controls for all aspects of the middle office to ensure effective risk management for EMEA Trade.
  • Engage with Product, Sales, and Coverage teams regarding new customer requirements.
  • Provide excellent service through streamlined operations, innovative solutions, clear communication, and timely responses.
  • Educate clients about available tools to assist them.
  • Understand Tripartite agreements and hedging strategies.
  • Escalate customer feedback, delays, and errors appropriately.
  • Monitor secured transactions and collateral, tracking from purchase to sale.
  • Liaise with warehouse companies, clients, and counterparties.
  • Ensure clear and concise positions in Triquesta, detailing transactional exposures and statuses, and ensure facility utilization requests are within credit parameters.
  • Obtain approvals for transactions outside approved criteria.
  • Report accurate positions for transactional financing, adhering to risk policies.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and digitize processes.

  • Experience in a senior trade middle office role managing a team.
  • Knowledge of Commodities Middle Office functions.
  • Strong understanding of trade-related processes and policies.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Proven process improvement experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
