Job summary

DPD is seeking a professional Class 1 driver to join our national transport team. Your role will involve moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, focusing on compliant routes and timely deliveries.

You will use GPS and digital tachographs to plan and log trips, perform safety inspections, and maintain excellent relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. The position requires a valid UK CE licence, CPC, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "Safety-first" mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain compliant.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
