Job summary

DPD is seeking an HGV Driver to join our national transport department in the UK, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers. You’ll manage nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.

You’ll use GPS and digital tachographs, conduct vehicle inspections, and maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers. A valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and tachograph card are required.

Qualifications

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience: At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.

• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
