Job summary

DPD is seeking a professional HGV driver to join our national transport team. You will move bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, manage trailer swaps, and ensure efficient loading/unloading to keep the network moving.

Applicants must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, plus at least 6 months of Class 1 experience. A safety-first mindset and knowledge of UK roads are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "Safety-first" mindset.
• Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines whilst delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.

• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
