Job summary

Gemini Accident Repair Centres’ Steer Training Academy seeks an experienced Technical Training & Development Coordinator to design, coordinate and deliver CPD, technical training and apprenticeship programmes across the UK, ensuring compliance with BS10125:2022 and industry standards.

You will work with operational teams, training providers and partners to identify needs, develop materials, maintain records in LMS, and support apprentices through recruitment, inductions and progress reviews;

Qualifications

• In-date IMI VDA Accreditation (NVQ3 VDA End Point not acceptable).
• Significant Vehicle Damage Assessment (VDA) experience in automotive.
• Experience delivering technical training, coaching or mentoring.
• Experience supporting apprentices or adult learners.
• Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK (overnight stays).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CPD and Apprenticeship programmes nationwide.
• Develop and deliver technical training focused on Vehicle Damage Assessment and related competencies.
• Create engaging learning materials for classroom, workshop and online delivery using LMS/IMI platforms.
• Support colleagues in achieving technical competence and qualifications.
• Deliver training across Steer, Gemini, Komoo and Commercial Repair Centres across the UK.
• Support apprentice recruitment, inductions, progress reviews and assessment activities.
• Maintain training records, reports and documentation; ensure BS10125:2022 compliance.
• Identify training needs and coordinate plans with operational teams and external partners.
• Manage budgets, administer procurement and monitor costs.
• Promote professional standards and health and safety across the organisation.
