Copart is currently recruiting a National Transport Planner to work as part of our team, based at our office in Bedford.

The National Transport Planner is responsible for managing the efficient and effective day-to-day routing of all Copart’s collections, deliveries, and returns for the entire national fleet of Transporters and the network of sub-contractors.

You will continually review and increase fleet productivity at the most effective cost, ensuring that all customer SLA’s are met or exceeded. This role emphasizes maintaining high standards of customer service to both external and internal customers.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Cost-effective daily route scheduling using PTV Route Optimiser.
• Create daily reports to analyze and improve collection and delivery performance & productivity.
• Maintain routing software settings to achieve optimal performance.
• Achieve and exceed internal KPI targets.
• Engage with subcontractors and yards to sustain performance levels.
• Provide monthly reports on MPM, fleet productivity, and driver & sub-haul usage and costs.

Essential Attributes

• Experience in route planning using route software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate meaningful Excel reports.
• Proven track record of achieving or surpassing KPI targets.
• Ability to identify and implement improvements in route scheduling.
• Proficiency in Excel & MS Office packages.
• Teamwork skills.
• Experience in the vehicle recovery industry.
• Knowledge of Apex Rescue and Recovery communication platform.
• CPC Qualification.
• One year experience with PTV or similar routing software, preferably in a multi-site operation.
