Job Description:

Copart is currently recruiting a National Transport Planner to work as part of our team, based at our office in Bedford.

The National Transport Planner is responsible for managing the efficient and effective day-to-day routing of all Copart’s collections, deliveries, and returns for the entire national fleet of Transporters and the network of sub-contractors.

You will review and optimize fleet productivity, ensuring all customer SLA’s are met or exceeded, while maintaining high standards of customer service for both external and internal clients.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Cost-effective daily route scheduling using PTV Route Optimiser.
• Create reports to analyze and improve collection and delivery performance & productivity.
• Maintain routing software settings for optimal performance.
• Achieve and exceed internal KPI targets.
• Engage with subcontractors and yards to ensure performance standards.
• Provide monthly reports on MPM, fleet productivity, driver & sub-haul usage, and costs.

Essential Attributes

• Experience with route planning software.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel reporting.
• Experience in achieving or surpassing KPI targets.
• Innovative in route scheduling improvements.
• Proficient with Excel & MS Office.
• Team player.
• Experience in vehicle recovery industry.
• Knowledge of Apex Rescue and Recovery platform.
• CPC Qualification.
• One year experience with PTV or similar software, preferably in multi-site operations.
