Job summary
Torrent Trackside Limited is seeking an Operational Support & Logistics Planner to coordinate national SPM and PPM maintenance schedules for rail and non-rail assets. You will work with Regional Service Managers, Mobile Fitters, Depots, and the Control Centre to optimise asset availability and operational delivery.
You will monitor schedules, manage spares, and support on-site teams to drive efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer service across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Experience in rail, plant hire, equipment services or similar operational environment.
- Experience with maintenance scheduling (SPM/PPM) is advantageous.
- Ability to use planning/scheduling/maintenance software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain national SPM and PPM schedules for rail and non-rail assets.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and communicate requirements.
- Deploy Mobile Fitters in collaboration with Regional Service Managers.
- Act as central coordination point between regions, depots, control centre, customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate spares and inventory to minimise shortages and excess stock.
- Support control centre/breakdown teams during peak demand periods.
- Monitor SPM/PPM activity and identify asset management improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Build strong cross-location relationships to deliver reliable service.
