Involve Recruitment is recruiting a National Operations Manager for a leading specialist building services contractor. You will oversee nationwide project delivery across the UK and Northern Ireland, ensuring safety, schedules, budget adherence and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within Building Services, Construction or Specialist Manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of MEP services, HVAC systems or specialist installation projects.
• Experience delivering complex construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Knowledge of fire-rated systems or specialist containment systems would be advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing contracts and client relationships.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across nationwide projects.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multiple projects from contract award through to completion.
• Coordinate the design, manufacture and installation of specialist building services systems.
• Develop and manage project programmes, resources and logistics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and site teams.
• Attend client meetings, progress reviews and site coordination meetings.
• Work alongside the Commercial team on contract variations, compensation events and contractual matters.
• Liaise with Health & Safety to ensure full compliance, including RAMS, ITPs, toolbox talks and CDM requirements.
• Coordinate internal CAD/Revit, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Source and manage specialist subcontract installation teams across the UK.
• Carry out regular site visits to monitor quality, progress and compliance.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, fire safety requirements and industry standards.
• Produce regular operational reports for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and project delivery.
• Mentor, lead and develop operational teams to achieve high performance.

National Operations Manager

Location: West Midlands (Covering the UK & Northern Ireland)

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

National Operations Manager - Specialist Building Services / Fire Protection

Involve Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing specialist contractor operating within the Building Services sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced National Operations Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects across the UK and Northern Ireland.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the operational delivery of nationwide projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with internal design, manufacturing, commercial and document control teams whilst acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of each project.

About You

• Knowledge of fire-rated systems, fire compartmentation or specialist containment systems would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing contracts and client relationships.

• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Additional health & safety or project management qualifications would be advantageous.
