Job summary

DPD Group is seeking an experienced HGV driver to join our national transport team in Rishton. You’ll coordinate bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, execute nationwide collections and deliveries, and keep the network moving.

The role requires a valid UK Class 1 licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card, plus at least six months of Class 1 experience. You’ll need strong UK road knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work under pressure while delivering great

Qualifications

Hold valid UK Class 1 (CE) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
At least 6 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and a safety-first mindset.
Resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on HGV-friendly locations.
Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and compliance.
Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.
