Are you an experienced foodservice sales professional who knows how the industry works, understands the challenges faced by industry leaders and enjoys winning new business?
This could be a great opportunity to take your career to the next level with a well-established, large-scale wholesaler within the UK foodservice market.
We're looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager with a strong track record in foodservice sales and, importantly, a genuine understanding of the sector. This is a role for someone who can speak confidently with senior decision-makers, spot commercial opportunities and turn conversations into long-term customer relationships.
You'll have a national remit, with a clear focus on new business development and growth.
Your target market will include larger foodservice customers, multi-site operators and group accounts across areas such as hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education and contract catering.
You’ll have the freedom to identify opportunities, develop your own pipeline and build relationships with prospective customers - from initial conversation through to negotiation and winning the account.
This isn't simply about making calls and hitting activity targets. You'll need to understand what customers actually need, where the commercial opportunity sits and how a foodservice proposition can solve their challenges.
Foodservice sales experience is essential. We're particularly interested in people who have experience selling into contract catering, hospitality, healthcare, education, leisure or other multi-site foodservice environments.
You’ll ideally bring:
Most importantly, you'll understand foodservice beyond simply selling into it. You'll know the customer landscape, appreciate the pressures operators face and be able to have credible commercial conversations with decision-makers.
This is an opportunity to join a substantial and established business at an exciting point in its foodservice growth.
You'll have the backing of a sizeable organisation, while playing a key role in developing new customer relationships and opening up further opportunities within the UK market.
