Job Description:

The National Account Manager – Building Products will be responsible for managing key accounts, particularly in the DIY and distribution sector, focusing on engineered wood products. The role involves managing a major DIY distribution account (B&Q), supporting new product launches, pricing strategies, and liaising with various internal teams. The position covers national coverage with regular travel to Southampton.

Benefits: £9,000 annual car allowance or company car, full benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a high-quality range of engineered wood products as a National Account Controller.
  • Lead and mentor one direct report.
  • Focus on managing large retail accounts, especially within DIY distribution channels.
  • Support new product launches and development initiatives.
  • Implement pricing strategies and liaise with internal teams including customer service, marketing, supply chain, and transport.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven track record in sales and account management.
  • Experience managing large accounts in retail or DIY distribution sectors.
  • Previous experience dealing directly with the Kingfisher Group is preferred.
  • Experience selling timber or wood products is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to establish sustainable contractual agreements.
