Jammy Recruitment is seeking a National Account Manager to lead UK grocery accounts for a household-name FMCG brand. You will move from transactional to strategic partnerships with major retailers and operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
You will work in a hybrid model with substantial autonomy, backed by a supportive team and meaningful development opportunities. A strong track record in NAM roles is essential.
WFH = 80% | Bracknell = 20%
Working with a household name in FMCG in the role of National Account Manager (NAM), you'll get the kind of experience that will open doors for the rest of your career.
Surrounded by people who are at the top of their game, picking up insights and coaching that will sharpen your commercial instincts and strategic thinking. You'll take on projects that stretch you and help you build a reputation as someone who gets things done.
Although the brand is over 100 years old it operates like a start up. It's a fun, lively and fast paced place to work usually with short deadlines so you'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and rolling up your sleeves working as a team.
Working from home around three days a week reflects just how flexible the company is and how the focus is firmly fixed on outputs not inputs so you'll need to be self motivated.
As the National Account Manager you will have the opportunity to work with major Grocery accounts and retailers including Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado and WH Smith worth ~£2m of Net Revenue in total.
Your primary task is to help move away from a transactional relationship towards that of a strategic partner which will test your account management skills but don't worry as you're not on your own and you will be supported by a close knit team of experienced National Account Managers. So you'll be able to see how they operate and more importantly learn from them.
You'll see breadth across the entire business across sales, marketing, category, product and logistics which is unique but operating within a matrix organisation isn't for everyone.
The hiring manager (and the UK Country Manager) is a natural coach and willing to invest time and energy to support your career development. So if you're willing to get stuck in, this could be the right environment and role for you to learn.
Their culture could be further described as:
Once again it cannot be underestimated that professional development is high on the agenda with on the job training opportunities.
