ARIA is a UK R&D funding agency that seeks to unlock breakthroughs benefiting society. We are hiring a Communications and Engagement Manager to shape how ARIA’s programmes are understood and engaged with, spanning the full lifecycle from launches to storytelling of researchers and progress.

You will lead communications and engagement for a portfolio of ARIA programmes, partnering with Programme Directors and the Head of Programme Communications and Engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven science communications experience in research institutions, startups or related environments.
• Degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Creative storytelling with engaging digital content.
• Autonomy to own projects and manage competing priorities.
• Strong delivery and attention to detail in scientific communications.
• Agile mindset and collaborative approach across teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape narratives for ARIA opportunities and programmes with Programme Directors.
• Develop narrative-led content across owned and earned channels to bring ARIA-funded science to life.
• Ensure outputs are consistent, high-quality and reflect programme character.
• Build momentum across the R&D ecosystem by engaging universities, deep-techs and stakeholders.
