Job summary

Malmesbury C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with speech and language needs within a friendly, collaborative team.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups in class, plus supervise lunchtimes and assist in daily learning activities. A DBS check is required and safeguarding is a priority; warmth, patience and strong relationships with children and families are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a child with communication needs.
  • Ability to work 1:1, in groups and in a whole-class setting.
  • Willingness to be involved in intimate care where required.

Responsibilities

What skills and experience we're looking for This is a job working with a child working in Year 1 within a friendly, supportive and communicative team in a school that has a good reputation for SEN provision.

You will be based in class supporting a child that has speech and language difficulties who needs support with communication and learning.

The job will involve some intimate care.

The job will be working the morning and supervising lunchtime.

Further details about the role Contract Information These are temporary contracts, linked to individual pupil funding or the pupil remaining on roll.

The contract will end if either condition changes.
