Job summary

Stanborough School in Hatfield requires a Music and Drama Technician to support teaching staff in music and drama, both in and out of the classroom. You will set up studio equipment for recording performances and assist with lighting and sound for productions and exams, while liaising with parents about lessons and events.

The role requires a friendly, efficient communicator who can work flexibly around performances; additional payment is possible for such duties.

Qualifications

  • Experience with technical theatre or school stage operations is preferred.

Job description

We are looking to appoint a Music and Drama Technician to provide technical and general assistance to the teaching staff in the music and drama departments, both in and out of the classroom. Your organisational skills, together with your technical knowledge will be key to your success, as you will need to set up studio equipment to record music performances and support with lighting and sound for school productions and examinations.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people and be a confident communicator as they will also need to contact parents regarding music lessons and departmental events; therefore, a friendly and efficient attitude is essential. Ability to work flexibly around performances and events when required, for which additional payment can be made, is also key.
