Job summary

South Hampstead High School – GDST is seeking a highly organised Music Administrator to support the Directors of Music in both the Senior and Junior Schools. You’ll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of two music departments, coordinating concerts, rehearsals and examinations.

This role involves managing instrumental lesson allocations, communicating with parents and visiting music teachers, and providing wider administrative support to keep the music programme running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in event or examination administration is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage priorities and work across two school sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Directors of Music in day-to-day operations for Senior and Junior Schools.
• Coordinate concerts, rehearsals, examinations and trips.
• Organise ABRSM and Trinity examinations and allocate instrumental lessons.
• Communicate with parents and liaise with visiting music teachers.
• Provide wider administrative support to ensure smooth department operations.
