Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a Multiskilled Technician with HGV to join the Airdrie Depot. This hands-on role combines driving with on-site work across tanker operations, jetting, environmental clean-ups and groundworks.

You will support varied projects, perform vehicle checks, and coordinate with customers to complete documentation. A flexible attitude and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required (HGV or plant experience preferred).
• Hands-on, can-do attitude with flexibility to varying hours.
• Experience in a similar role or industry, or willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate jetting and clean-up equipment.
• Drive Company vehicles including HGV or other qualified vehicles.
• Tackle spills, environmental hazards, and support civil/industrial projects.
• Carry out vehicle checks, maintenance and reporting of issues.
• Liaise with customers and ensure job documentation is completed.
• Be available for a call-out rota for emergency works (overtime potential).

Are you looking for a hands-on HGV role with plenty of variety?

We're looking for a Multiskilled Technician with HGV to join our Airdrie Depot. This is a practical, varied role combining driving with on site work, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and being part of a hardworking team.

You’ll support a variety of projects including tanker driving, high pressure water jetting, environmental clean ups, industrial services and general groundworks. With specialist equipment and training provided, no two days will be the same.

Your typical day could include:

• Operating jetting and clean-up equipment
• Operate Company vehicles, (including HGV) or any other vehicle for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate.
• Tackling spills, fly tips and environmental hazards
• Supporting civil engineering and industrial service projects
• Carrying out vehicle checks, maintenance and reporting
• Liaising with customers and ensuring job documentation is completed
• Being part of a call-out rota for emergency works (with overtime available!)

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• A full UK driving licence (HGV or plant experience? Even better!)
• A practical, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to working hours
• Experience in a similar role or industry – or a willingness to learn on the job
• A strong team player who’s happy to travel and stay away when needed (available on a short notice as well)
• Knowledge of RAMS and health & safety practices (preferred)
