Job summary

Adler and Allan in Airdrie, Scotland, is looking for a Multiskilled Technician with HGV to join our depot. This hands-on role blends driving with on-site tasks across tanker work, environmental clean-ups and groundworks, offering variety and teamwork.

You will perform vehicle checks, support civil engineering and industrial projects, and liaise with customers. A full UK driving licence (HGV) and flexibility are essential; RAMS/health & safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and complete job documentation
• Be part of a call-out rota for emergency works (with overtime)

Are you looking for a hands-on HGV role with plenty of variety?

We're looking for a Multiskilled Technician with HGV to join our Airdrie Depot. This is a practical, varied role combining driving with on site work, so it's ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and being part of a hardworking team.

You’ll support a variety of projects including tanker driving, high pressure water jetting, environmental clean ups, industrial services and general groundworks. With specialist equipment and training provided, no two days will be the same.

Your typical day could include:

• Operating jetting and clean-up equipment
• Operate Company vehicles, (including HGV) or any other vehicle for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate.
• Tackling spills, fly tips and environmental hazards
• Supporting civil engineering and industrial service projects
• Carrying out vehicle checks, maintenance and reporting
• Liaising with customers and ensuring job documentation is completed
• Being part of a call-out rota for emergency works (with overtime available!)

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

• A full UK driving licence (HGV or plant experience? Even better!)
• A practical, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to working hours
• Experience in a similar role or industry – or a willingness to learn on the job
• A strong team player who’s happy to travel and stay away when needed (available on a short notice as well)
• Knowledge of RAMS and health & safety practices (preferred)
