Job summary

Invictus Group in London is seeking a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer to maintain M&E and critical building systems on a prestigious contract in Whitechapel.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across landlord services, supervise contractors, and respond to faults and alarms in a high-profile commercial site. HV experience training provided after three months, with significant overtime and HVAP development.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications required; Level 3 considered if technically strong.
• Solid experience in commercial building services.
• Confident fault-finding across electrical and wider M&E systems.
• Able to lead by example on shift and take responsibility for site operations.
• Safety-focused and professional at all times.

Salary: Up to £55,000 + HVAP training

Shift Pattern: Continental (Days & Nights) - 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00

My client is a major FM company who are recruiting a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer to work on a prestigious contract in Whitechapel, managing M&E and critical building systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, technically capable maintenance engineer ready to step into a high-profile commercial site.

The Role

As Multi-skilled Shift Engineer, you will:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across landlord building services
• Take ownership of electrical systems including LV & HV distribution, plant, and associated infrastructure
• Supervise contractors and ensure all works are completed safely and compliantly
• Respond to faults, incidents, and alarms within a critical environment
• Maintain accurate records using site systems and permits to work

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold electrical qualifications (Level 3 considered if technically strong)
• Have solid experience working within commercial building services
• Are confident fault-finding across electrical and wider M&E systems
• Can lead by example on shift and take responsibility for site operations
• Are professional, reliable, and safety-focused

High Voltage experience is not essential — HV training will be provided after 3 months.
