Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking an experienced HV Shift Engineer for a critical Heathrow site in Middlesex. The role involves fault finding, PPM and reactive maintenance on high voltage systems, with a continental day/night shift pattern and opportunities for internal progression.

You will ensure all critical systems operate reliably, manage isolation works, liaise with client representatives, and maintain accurate logbooks and RAMS.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified in electrical engineering / installations (C & G / NVQ / EAL or equivalent).
• At least 5 years experience as an Electrical Engineer within commercial maintenance.
• Live within commutable distance to site.
• Apprentice trained desirable.

HV Shift Engineer

Heathrow, Middlesex

£60,000

We've got a stand out role for an experienced, motivated HV Shift Engineer to work in a critical environment, receive high voltage training, gain valuable career experience and work on a high end contract in Heathrow. You will be joining a market leader within commercial maintenance, receive relevant opportunities to progress internally and be part of a well experienced, tight knit team. This is a static role, following a continental shift pattern, day and night shift.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will ensure all critical systems are working efficiently by actively fault finding and troubleshooting, carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, get involved in the site shutdowns / black outs and ensure all site logbooks are regularly updated.

HV Shift Engineer Duties:

• PPMs & Reactive maintenance


• Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), UPS, LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, CRAC units, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation


• Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.


• Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.


• Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.


• Organising subcontractors


• Completing logbooks and RAMS


• Reports


• Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.


• Permits to work


• Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

HV Shift Engineer Requirements:

• Fully qualified in electrical engineering / installations (C & G / NVQ / EAL or equivalent)


• At least 5 years experience as an Electrical Engineer within commercial maintenance


• Live within commutable distance to site


• Apprentice trained would be desirable, not essential


• Experience within a critical environment would also be beneficial

HV Shift Engineer Salary and Package:

• £60,000 per annum
