Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a motivated porter in Leeds on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves daily porterage, meeting room setups, furniture moves, mail and deliveries handling, and assisting reception on a fast‑paced contract.

You will process and distribute goods, support stock control, and maintain an orderly, customer‑facing work environment while showing a positive attitude and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, good time management, and a team‑oriented approach.
• Basic IT literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet room setups and furniture moves.
• Handle waste subcontractors and escort contractors.
• Carry out ad‑hoc cleaning tasks and operate cleaning machinery (e.g. jet wash, scrubber dryer).
• Accept, log, and distribute deliveries and mail; screen mail as required.
• Receive, process, and distribute goods; support stock control and maintain an organized workspace.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
