Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Multiskilled Plumber to join their team in a permanent, off-site capacity. The role focuses on improving housing quality, tenant satisfaction, and safety, with responsibilities spanning repairs, maintenance, and asset upkeep.

You will need a plumbing qualification plus a second trade, with a full UK driving license, and you’ll contribute to ensuring statutory housing standards are met while delivering excellent customer service. Applications close soon.

Qualifications

• Experience in all aspects of plumbing and a second trade qualification (e.g., Joinery, Plastering, Bricklaying).
• Experience in repairs, new builds, maintenance, or contract environments, including assessing jobs and updating records.
• Ability to use power tools and plant safely and follow all safety procedures on and off-site.
• Experience conducting investigations/tests to identify fault root causes and implement lasting solutions.
• Ability to utilise skills from other trades to achieve first-time fix when efficient.
• Organised yet flexible approach with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the provision of good quality rented housing and improve landlord/tenant relationships.
• Support maintenance of assets to meet statutory housing standards, installation, repair and maintenance obligations.
• Provide excellent customer service to a wide range of customers and stakeholders.
