Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to repair plumbing and mechanical fixtures across our contract sites in the London area. The role requires a capable technician who can handle PPM tasks, gas-related repairs, and light installation work while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will manage workloads, meet deadlines, and prepare technical reports and quotations over £500. A strong understanding of SFG20 and a multi-skilled capability in mechanical, electrical trades will help

Qualifications

NVQ Plumbing Level 2 or 3 is required.
L8 qualification is desirable.
IPAF and PASMA certificates are a plus.
Understanding of SFG20 and delivering works to timescales.
Gas qualifications backup is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair plumbing accessories according to regulations, standards and manufacturer instructions.
Demonstrate mechanical and electrical general competence.
Perform quoted repairs and light installation on gas equipment across sites.
Submit weekly timesheets and expenses with receipts.
Complete on-site paperwork and obtain customer signatures for invoicing.
Prepare engineer's worksheets with full plant details and required follow-up work.
Identify lifecycle replacement needs.
