Job summary

Evotec WD in Abingdon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering and Facilities team. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work with a multi-skilled team across Production, Utilities, Laboratory, and Office assets.

This onsite role is based at Milton Park, Abingdon, offering a competitive salary and benefits. The role requires hands-on experience in building services, preventative maintenance, and the ability to work with external contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmaceutical or life-science environment (GMP) is preferred.
• Industry experience after Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent (NVQ 2/3) is essential.
• H&S training based on practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to keep buildings, plant and equipment operating.
• Maintain site services: AHUs, extracts, electrical LV systems, lighting and water systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and fault-find during breakdowns.
• Coordinate with external contractors for gas boilers, compressed air, UPS, LV switchgear and other services.
• Support routine activities like weekly fire alarm testing and daily checks.
• Process maintenance requests, including work via external contractors when needed.
• Occasional weekend/out-of-hours work and participation in on-call rota (~1 week/month).
• Carry out additional tasks as required by Engineering Management.
