Job summary

Lorient Polyproducts, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, is seeking a proactive Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Newton Abbot site. In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance and support automation and improvements to keep production safe and efficient.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, mentor apprentices, and help drive lean initiatives while maintaining strict health, safety, and quality standards across the site.

• Multiskilled with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swift and effective electrical, mechanical and pneumatic breakdown support.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities using our CMMS system.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, upgrades and factory improvement projects.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Assist with new product introductions and factory layout changes.
• Source and manage spare parts to ensure production continuity.
• Liaise with specialist contractors and service providers.
• Mentor and support engineering apprentices.
• Use machine tools to support manufacturing requirements.
• Complete accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Always champion the highest standards of health, safety and compliance.
