Job summary

KPI Recruiting is recruiting for a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Skipton for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis. You will perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the site to maximise equipment availability.

You will fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems on automated production and packaging lines, contribute to root-cause analysis, support installation projects and maintain accurate maintenance records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
• Experience fault-finding on automated production and packaging machinery.
• Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment.
• Fault-find on automated production and packaging machinery.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Support equipment installation, modification and improvement projects.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise availability.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Support preventative maintenance strategies development.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to wider projects and initiatives.
