Job summary

EMR Group is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (60/40) to join our depot maintenance team. This hands-on position keeps our plant and processing equipment safe, reliable and efficient, with opportunities for ongoing training and progression.

The role covers diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, maintaining conveyors and heavy machinery, and ensuring high safety standards on site. Weekend work may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

Time served apprenticeship with C&G NVQ 3 Diploma or equivalent in engineering maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills in heavy industry/manufacturing.
Experience with heavy machinery, plant equipment, or processing systems; knowledge of welding.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and fault-find on mechanical and electrical systems.
Work on electrical systems including 3-phase motors, control panels, sensors.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs to maximise plant uptime.
Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, shredders, motors, bearings, power transmissions, pumps and gearboxes.
Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ensure all work is completed safely in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.
