Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Farnborough. You will be supporting the maintenance of plant, equipment and building services across client sites, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

The role involves fault finding on diverse machinery, assisting with risk assessments, and working with a multi-skilled team. A structured apprenticeship and electrical/mechanical knowledge are valued, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance or related field preferred.
• Basic electrical qualifications are a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge up to standard, with City & Guilds qualifications beneficial.
• Familiarity with 3-phase motors, drives and inverters is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site and update drawings.
• Support the maintenance team by responding to maintenance requests.
• Fault finding on a variety of machinery and basic troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
• Provide support to electrical and mechanical tasks within the department.
• Assist in writing and following risk assessments for safe task completion.
• Work on three-phase systems up to 440V and maintain motors and gearboxes.
