Job summary

AVD Appoint Ltd is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support production capacity by maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning automated machinery, with a 60:40 electrical/mechanical split. The role is day shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime opportunities.

The ideal candidate has experience in multiskilled maintenance, fault-finding PLCs (Siemens or Allen-Bradley), and works with 3‑phase electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting for PLCs (Siemens or Allen-Bradley).
• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated production machinery, primarily CNC machines.
• Fault-find and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens or Allen-Bradley).
• Service electrical and mechanical components incl. PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, 3-phase systems.
• Participate in installation, commissioning and facility maintenance projects.
• Work on a day shift Monday–Friday; overtime available.

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Hampshire

Salary up to £50,000 + Overtime + Benefits – Ref: 2041

We are a well-established, market‑leading engineering organisation based in Hampshire, employing around 200 people.

Role Overview

Appointed on a permanent basis to support business growth and sustain production capacity. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning automated production machinery such as CNC machines, with a 60:40 electrical and mechanical split. Work will be on a day shift Monday‑Friday, with overtime readily available.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a range of automated production machinery, primarily CNC machines.
• Conduct fault‑finding and troubleshooting for PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley).
• Service electrical and mechanical components, including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, and 3‑phase systems.
• Participate in installation, commissioning, and facility maintenance projects.
• Work on a day shift Monday‑Friday; overtime available.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or similar role.
• Proven fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills for PLCs, preferably with Siemens or Allen Bradley hardware.
• Experience with 3‑phase electrical systems.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining, installing, or commissioning CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, and/or hydraulics.
• Full UK driving licence.
