CV Technical Limited is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Newton Aycliffe to maintain production machinery and site equipment on a double-day pattern. You’ll work on both mechanical and electrical systems across a modern manufacturing site.

• Industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics is advantageous.
• Proactive approach to breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Respond to breakdowns and fault finding to restore operation.
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of production machinery.
• Diagnose faults and return equipment to service.
• Work on motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Support machinery installations and improvements.
• Identify recurring faults and improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with production to minimise downtime and follow Health & Safety procedures.

CV Technical are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable role within a modern manufacturing environment, working a double-day shift pattern with no permanent nights.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and site equipment running efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across the site.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to breakdowns and fault finding
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of production machinery
• Diagnosing faults and getting equipment back up and running
• Working on motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Supporting machinery installations and improvements
• Identifying recurring faults and helping improve equipment reliability
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Working closely with production to minimise downtimeFollowing all relevant Health & Safety procedures

The Person

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across both mechanical and electrical systems.

You should have:

• Previous industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance
• A recognised engineering qualification/apprenticeship is desirable
• Experience with PLCs, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous
• A proactive approach to breakdowns and preventative maintenance
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
