Job summary

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well established and growing food manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes. As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of food production machinery and site equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Electrically biased maintenance engineering background.
• 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification (or equivalent).
• Proactive with ability to identify and implement improvements.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Strong communication with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
• Maintain and support a range of food manufacturing equipment including ovens and conveyors.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise machine availability.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Job Summary

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well established and growing food manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes.

As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of food production machinery and site equipment. Working as part of the engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
• Maintain and support a range of food manufacturing equipment including ovens, steamers, chillers, processing machinery, conveyors and automated systems.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise machine availability and improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete relevant documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
• Electrically biased Maintenance Engineering background.
• 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification (or equivalent).
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
• Ability to work independently and make effective decisions during night shifts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
• Machine operating/minding experience is desirable.
• Welding/fabrication experience is desirable.
• Experience working with steam equipment is desirable.
