We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join a high-performing maintenance team in a food production environment in Beaminster. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with dairy or food industry maintenance experience who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
The role focuses primarily on mechanical fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance, but a working knowledge of electrical systems (including 3-phase and high voltage) is essential.
Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across production and packaging equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues on pumps, conveyors, mixers, and other production machinery
Support electrical maintenance tasks when needed, including fault finding on control panels and circuits
Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly service checks and keep detailed maintenance records
Participate in site project work and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with site Health & Safety, food safety (FSSC22000), and company procedures
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimise energy usage
Strong mechanical maintenance background, ideally in dairy or food production
Knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding
Understanding of 3-phase systems and high voltage equipment (desirable)
Proven experience in a production/manufacturing setting
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
Comfortable working on a Panama shift pattern
