Are you a Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer or multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical understanding, who wants to be in control of all machinery maintenance for a growing Exeter based manufacturer? Were the perfect place for you to make this role your own. This is a weekday only role, with an early Friday finish, join a friendly, but focused team and a business that is on the up.

BASIC SALARY: Up to A GBP 45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer : Packaging Machinery

Were a fast growing manufacturer of premium packaging solutions to the retail, industrial and e:commerce sectors. Youll be our go to electrically biased Maintenance Engineer, for our growing Exeter site (we also have a sister site in Durham).

Although, the site has been operational for nearly 40 years, we regularly invest in new machinery and our plant is a mix of traditional and ultra:modern equipment.

Youll be working on a wide variety of equipment responsible for everything from:

A Mechanical and Electrical fault finding, including PLC troubleshooting.

A Creating PPM schedules.

A Providing reactive maintenance and new equipment installation.

Its your chance to roll you sleeves up and make the role your own, to put in place all the maintenance programmes, to improve housekeeping practices as we grow and to ensure all of our machinery is operating smoothly and efficiently.

We operate flexible working hours for this role. Wed like you on site between 07:15:16:00 Mon:Thurs, with a 12:15 finish on a Friday, but if youd prefer to start earlier and finish earlier, its not a problem, as long as everything is working when you go

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer : Packaging Machinery

Were very open on sector background, but you MUST be either a time:served or qualified Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer or Site Maintenance Engineer.

Wed be very interested in anyone with FMCG / Food and Drink sector experience, but previous packaging machinery experience is NOT essential.

Whatever Your Technical Background, Youll Be Able To Demonstrate

A Root cause analysis and mechanical issue trouble shooting skills.

A The ability to read technical drawings, schematics and blueprints.

A The capacity to work independently, to trouble shoot and stay calm under pressure.

A To work with others, especially those with some or no technical understanding, in order to get a job completed

A A fundamental grasp of Health and Safety for your self and those around you.
