Maintenance Engineer

Crewkerne, Somerset

DAYS Hours - Monday to Wednesday 07:30 to 16:30, Thursday 07:30 to 16:00, Friday 07:30 to 13:00

Maintenance Engineer required for a well-established business with a history of over 100 years. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a days-based maintenance role within a friendly team who are employee focused and can offer long term stability.

This role would suit an electrically biased or multi skilled maintenance engineer with experience working in an industrial environment. You also need to hold a level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent).

The successful candidate will be joining an existing team of five responsible for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance across the factory, working on heavy machinery. The role will involve working with motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors etc.

The Maintenance Engineer Role:

Reactive and preventative maintenance

Calibration of instruments

Working with motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems and production machines

Factory maintenance lighting, wiring, alarm systems etc.

Using hoists, cranes and power tools to dismantle equipment (training can be provided)

Working in a foundry environment

The Maintenance Engineer Candidate :

Multiskilled or electrically biased

Industrial maintenance experience

Hold a level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent)
