Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognised electrical qualification - essential.
• Experience working as a Maintenance Electrician or Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Mechanical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Experience working with heavy machinery, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, drives and automated equipment.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a shift-based engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the manufacturing site
• Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
• Fault finding on motors, drives, control panels, sensors, relays and other industrial equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Carrying out electrical installation and modification work where required
• Working closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Accurately completing maintenance documentation and handovers
