Job summary

Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Environmental Assistant to provide flexible support across catering, housekeeping and portering. You will assist with meals, keep areas clean and hygienic, and help move equipment and supplies to ensure smooth service delivery.

The role supports safe, patient- and staff-facing environments, with emphasis on infection control, adaptability and teamwork within a busy NHS facility.

Qualifications

• Clinical posts up to and including Band 4 are expected to hold the Care Certificate.
• Some roles require a Standard or Enhanced DBS check; having a criminal record will not automatically prevent employment.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of essential services across catering, housekeeping and portering.
• Assist with meal preparation and service, maintain cleanliness and infection control.
• Ensure timely movement of equipment, supplies and waste to support a well-managed environment.
