Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Estates Mobile Technician (Multi-Skilled) to join the Estates team at Reading. The role covers day-to-day maintenance across Berkshire sites, diagnosing faults, supporting contractors, and providing high-quality reactive and planned maintenance.

You will travel between sites in a Trust vehicle and participate in on-call rotas, including out-of-hours when required.

Qualifications

• Cross-trade knowledge across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building engineering.
• Experience diagnosing faults and resolving complex issues.
• Ability to work independently and support colleagues and contractors.
• Willingness to travel between Berkshire Trust sites in a Trust vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across Berkshire Trust sites.
• Diagnose faults across plant, electrical and mechanical systems and building fabric.
• Complete PPMs and assist with statutory compliance (Legionella, fire systems, lifts, boilers).
• Record labour, materials and activity on MICAD Helpdesk with a handheld device.
• Work from drawings and specifications and ensure areas are restored after works.
• Liaise with service users, managers and contractors to minimise disruption.
